XBRL is a global not-for-profit organisation that aims at improving business reporting around the world, whilst also encouraging the uptake of modern reporting standards. XBRL enables the fast and accurate transfer of information between organisations by replacing paper versions of reports with their digital counterparts. XBRL thus successfully augments the accuracy and efficiency of business reporting.
